The McCormick Court Swat Team is based out of Mississippi. But
our members hail from all over the U.S.
The McCormick Court Swat Team (MCST) was originally founded in real life back in April of 2001 in Brookhaven, Mississippi by Myself (Redneck Gumby), Rede4u and 3 other guys. We were renting a house on a street called, you got it, McCormick Court. Shorty after moving into this house we began to have problems with crakheads, prowlers and other people looking to steal anything not locked down. One night (not sure on the day) Rede4u was up late and happened to catch a glimpse of someone in our backyard. He quietly woke everyone up and we sprung into action. Within 2 minutes of first spotting the crakhead we made our move. In nothing but boxers, ballcaps and Redwing boots we busted out of the house and setup a perimeter around the house with a wide assortment of 9mm and 50 cal hand guns, sniper rifles (used for deer hunting of course) and 12 gauge shotguns. After securing the roof top and backyard we moved to the front yard where we made initial contact with the crakhead. After failed verbal negotiations (severe cussing and name calling) the suspect fled. We chased him approximatly 0.5 miles. Unfortunatly you cannot catch a scared crakhead.
After that we joked about being the McCormick Court Swat Team.
With the discovery of Counter Strike, Rede4u and I wore the MCST
tag when we played as a tribute to our old house and old times.
In March of 2003, after having bud luck with a couple of CS clans
I decided to start my own clan. I called Rede4u and ran the idea
by him. He liked it needless to say. We only had to think about
what to call our clan for 1/2 a second and both said, "McCormick
Court Swat Team!" at the same time. So with the mission we set
out.
Since then, MCST has expanded into more online games. We are
now a growing online community. We have a very busy and lively
ventrilo server where members talk while playing the many games
we are active in; CS, DAOC, DOD, Planetside, BF1942, ETC.
Everyday a new page is added to the MCST history, and I hope
to add many more. I throughly enjoy meeting people from around
the world and gaming with them. The majority of us are older gamers
and love having new faces around.
Thanks to everyone that has supported us and keep doing your
thing man.
Thx, Gumby
